Introduction

This guide provides an introduction to and tips on researching federal food, drug, and cosmetic law - a complex area governed by more than twenty federal statutes as well as voluminous regulations. This guide will focus most closely on the Food and Drug Administration and related resources, although other federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Products Safety Commission are also active in regulating in this area.
